About the Role:

Texas Instruments Radar Software Team is seeking a skilled Software Engineer / Boot ROM Lead to design, develop, modify, evaluate, and debug embedded programs for advanced Radar SOC devices. This key role drives secure, scalable Boot ROM solutions in collaboration with Business, Application, Systems, and SDK teams. You’ll work on architecture, driver and algorithm development, integration of business requirements, and lead projects with visibility across TI's radar organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, and test complex drivers and embedded security algorithms for Radar RBL firmware.
  • Debug and enhance software solutions for current and next-gen SOCs.
  • Develop automation and leverage AI/ML tools for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business, R&D, and program management to define requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead assigned technical projects.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards (ISO21434, CERT-C) and development practices (ISO26262).
  • Analyze and resolve customer and internal issues across software layers.

Key Technical Skills:

C, Assembly language, Python, ARM/DSP cores, Embedded systems programming, Secure Boot ROM architectures, Debugging (JTAG, trace, logic analyzers), RBL/Application drivers, Security algorithms, AI/ML tools, System integration, Peripherals, Compilers, Linkers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience with embedded software/firmware and SOCs
  • Advanced knowledge of C, assembly, python, compilers, and linkers
  • Experience in ARM cores, DSP cores, security accelerators
  • Hands-on skills debugging critical embedded systems
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration and Secure Boot ROM architectures
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments
  • Strong problem resolution and customer orientation
